Beacon Food Forest Work Party

  • Beacon Food Forest S Dakota St Seattle, WA 98108 United States (map)

Everyone is welcome! This month the Beacon Food Forest Work Party is centered on farming, berry foraging, art sessions, gardening, potluck lunch, and building community. There is also usually lots of digging, planting, mulching, and connecting with the earth & each other!

Work parties at BFF are led by core volunteers who assist in caretaking on-site. The tasks for each work party vary based on the needs of the teams at the Beacon Food Forest. These tasks can vary in intensity and even be completely different every month. Usual tasks include weeding, path/site cleanup, sowing seeds, mulching, etc. We recommend that you dress appropriately for the weather. Though we typically have water and snacks on site, in the warmer months (May - September), bring your own just in case! The nearest restroom is located in Jefferson Park (about a five-minute walk) along the track
