Return Policies

West Seattle Nursery takes pride in the quality of the plants we sell and we feel confident that our customers will benefit from purchasing plants that are grown regionally right here in the Pacific Northwest and therefore acclimatized for our growing season here in the Puget Sound.

That said, once the plant has been purchased we no longer have control of its care and maintenance and because plants are living organisms they are therefore perishable. It is up to you, the customer to care for your plants once you purchase them and we encourage you to do the following:

  • Plant your plant in the ground as soon as possible after purchase.
  • Understand the specific needs of the plant you purchased – does it need moist soil, or does it like to dry out in between watering? Does it need four to five hours of direct sun or can it tolerate part-shade?
  • Make the commitment to give the plants you purchase the care and maintenance they need.

We will guarantee trees and shrubs in one gallon containers and larger for one year on the condition that they are planted in the ground as soon as possible after purchase. We also ask that the dead plant be dug up and returned to us so that we can inspect it for evidence of disease. We will issue a cash or charge back refund if you bring the plant and your receipt back into us. If you do not have your receipt, bring the plant in to us and we’ll give you a store credit.

This guarantee excludes Phormiums and Hebes.
